Air Flow Systems for Tempurpedic

The AirFlow system in the Tempurpedic mattress is in the base layer. The layers normally consist of the TEMPUR mattress material layer, Tempur support layer and then the AirFlow system that is on the bottom layer of the mattress.
The Air Flow system provides support for the other layers and increases circulation throughout the mattress. The only mattress in the Tempurpedic sleep systems line that does not have the AirFlow system is the Original Bed. The Tempurpedic mattress Air Flow systems resemble an egg crate with a series of peaks and valleys to provide free air flow and helps in keeping a comfortable temperature throughout the night.
The Classic Bed by Tempurpedic is constructed with the single AirFlow system. The AirFlow System is approximately 5 inches which is convoluted on the surface and adhered to the Tempurpedic mattress material. This increases the airflow to the mattress and provides support.
The Dual AirFlow System consists of two base layers instead of just one. The Deluxe bed, the Rhapsody bed and the Celebrity bed all contain the Dual AirFlow system. This AirFlow system helps to better support the Tempur mattress layers and has increased circulation to enhance the pressure relieving properties.
The Grand bed AirFlow system is much different than all the other Air Flow systems. It does not resemble an egg crate but appears to be a dual foam layer. The dual foam layer has the open cell breathable structure to allow circulation through the mattress.
The top base layer is about 3 inches in height and has been reticulated. The bottom base layer is about 5 inches in height and both provide the support to the Tempurpedic mattress. The only sleep system that has this airflow technology is the Grand Bed.
