The polyurethane materials are used in many of the products we use everyday. The polyurethane material is what provides the temperature sensitive conforming ability to the Tempurpedic mattress. The new Tempurpedic mattress smell will dissipate after a few days. There have been research studies on polyurethane and it is said to be a non-toxic chemical composition.
